I invite anyone who feels the need to talk to someone who is ready and eager to listen to them. I have worked in mental, behavioral and relational health for the last ten years and am excited to incorporate more couples, duos, ethically and consensually non-monogamous clients as well as individuals. As a student marriage and family therapist with a behavioral therapy background, I have worked alongside and with a diverse group of humans. One approach to issues which I have adopted in my practice is the idea that all behavior is communication, sometimes we need some help finding out what we are trying to say. In session, it is important that each person feels heard, seen and respected equally. I approach sessions with a focused ability to provide an outside set of eyes, voice, and join in a stance of co-collaborator with clients in the healing and problem solving process. Whether we are working through a conflict, identity questions, or just checking in.

Angelique work stems from a social justice lens; putting our lives into the context of society, for better or worse. She is LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming. She believes that multicultural awareness is a must rather than an afterthought. While starting therapy can seem intimidating or daunting, Angelique wants you to know that you always deserve a seat in the therapy room or video call. She specializes in working with clients who are new to therapy by creating a safe space free from judgment. She aims to help clients uncover the strengths they already possess. She often helps clients explore their intersecting identities and navigate life's complications: life transitions, new identities, and different understandings of the world or ourselves. Together, you and Angelique will explore which therapeutic approaches are the best fit for you. She utilizes a strengths-based approach, regularly drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational-Cultural Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She strongly believes that whether a problem is new or old, there is always an opportunity for growth and a new perspective.

Life can be full of challenges and tribulations that can impact our well being and mental health. I believe our inherent resiliency and adaptability as humans help us overcome the many challenges that we face. Therapy allows for a person to be their true self, and to have their strengths and talents fully recognized. My work with clients is grounded in acceptance, validation, and empathy. I strive to create a safe environment for my clients to begin the process of change and growth. āFrom my perspective, psychotherapy is about lasting change, and gaining the insight and tools needed to make that change. One of the strengths of therapy is to be heard without being judged or told how to feel or think. Therapy can lead to greater insight than simply talking to family and friends. It can offer encouragement and support for you to take a new step toward lasting change. āAlthough change can be challenging at first, we are often called to it because something is just not working. Establishing a trusting relationship with a therapist can help bridge the gap between the anxiety to change, and the change needed to engage in a more fulfilling life. If you feel ready to take the next step, please contact me to set up an appointment.
You are dealing with the impact of your past experiences, all while trying to keep it together and manage the stress of daily life. Although you want to heal so badly, you feel like you can never quite find a therapist that you can show your true, authentic self to. You may be dealing with anxious and depressed thoughts, relationship issues, traumatic memories resurfacing, or feelings of anger and resentment. You need a space where you can connect the puzzle pieces and find deep and meaningful compassion for yourself. My work is attachment-based, trauma informed, and relational in nature. This means that we won't just look at the symptoms you are experiencing, but also the world around you and how you have learned to survive in it. I will be there to guide you and help bring awareness to the patterns and ways of being that have helped you through these difficulties. If you have resonated with what you have read thus far, I welcome you to reach out! I offer afternoon and evening availability for adults and adolescents to best accommodate busy schedules. Many of my patients are people with multicultural/multiracial families and relationships, immigrants or the adult children of immigrants, people of Asian descent, graduate students, clinicians, or people who still feel empty and unsatisfied after achieving conventional hallmarks of success. Many have experienced shifts in class and/or religious identity who are looking to more deeply understand how their experience of depression, anxiety, or trauma is tied to these transgenerational and cross-cultural forces. With empathy and care, I will partner with you to explore your life, history, culture(s), and the wider world to see how these shape your inner experiences and relationships. In addition to feeling better, my hope is to help you to discover and create new ways of being in the world that feel more alive, flexible, authentic, resilient, and effective. Many people have mixed feelings about starting therapy and finding the right fit is so important for meaningful and long-lasting changes. If this profile has resonated with you in some way, there are no fees or commitments for the initial consultation. If you'd like to meet and learn more, please reach out today or visit my website.

Iāve experienced my own struggles with self-esteem, mental health, & relationship issues. These experiences have shaped me into a therapist who is empathetic, practical, & down-to-earth. I know the path to self-improvement & rebuilding your relationships can be challenging. Let me help you understand yourself and/or your partner more by identifying your "WHY", meaning why you think, behave, and react the way you do based off of attachment, communication styles, past relationships, etc. Don't be afraid to take a chance on you and/or your partner. Let's create those meaningful changes and new memories together.
Hi name is Vanessa, The students I work best with often have a lot on their plates. They may be high-achieving or highly motivated, but still feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. Many are juggling school, work, family expectations, and social pressures, and feel like theyāre expected to āhave it all togetherā even when they donāt. The students who tend to thrive in my practice are open to self-reflection and curious about understanding themselves better. I am most aligned with individuals who want practical tools to manage stress, improve confidence, and cope with emotions, but also want space to talk things through without judgment. Clients I serve donāt need to be in crisis to benefit from therapyāmany just want support, clarity, and a place where they can be honest. If youāre a student who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of support while figuring things out, youāre not aloneāand you donāt have to do it by yourself. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and build skills that help you move forward with more confidence and balance.

Understanding that our experiences are shaped by the environments we live ināour communities, culture, and relationshipsāI take a trauma-informed and relational approach to therapy. My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins when we feel seen, safe, and connected. I aim to create a space where you can explore your emotions, express yourself freely, and begin to reconnect with your body and sense of self. As an art therapist, I believe creativity can be a powerful pathway to understanding and transformation. In our sessions, we might use artmaking, mindfulness, or gentle somatic practices to help you express what words canāt always capture. These creative tools can support regulation, insight, and a deeper connection to your inner world. My practice integrates mindfulness, person-centered, and feminist frameworks, and I work collaboratively with each client to find what feels most supportive. I specialize in working with anxiety, life transitions, womenās issues, and LGBTQ+ concerns, and I strive to provide an affirming space where all identities and experiences are honored. I see therapy as a collaborative and compassionate processāone where we explore not just what feels painful, but also what brings meaning, resilience, and joy. My goal is to help you cultivate a sense of internal safety and confidence as you move toward a more grounded, authentic version of yourself. Outside of my work as a therapist, I find joy in thrifting and antiquing, or getting lost in a good fantasy novel alongside my two cats, Cricket and Jerry. If my approach resonates with you, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation. Iād be honored to connect and support you on your healing journey.
