Therapists for college students near University of Pennsylvania
Welcome! Let’s explore what a meaningful and balanced life looks like for you as an undergraduate or graduate student. I work with students on managing anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. I also enjoy helping students build stress management skills and navigate life transitions, identity exploration, relationship stress, or feeling “stuck” or burned out. My goal is to keep sessions feeling genuine and conversational, and to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while we work together on what matters most to you. I use evidence-based approaches to help you manage difficult thoughts and emotions, reduce self-criticism, and build coping skills that actually work. I also offer EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma, and Inference-Based CBT for OCD. If you’re curious about starting therapy or just want to see if we’re a good fit, I offer free 15-minute video consultations. Email is the best way to reach me.
Therapy isn’t just about getting through hard times, it’s an opportunity for you to reconnect with your own inner strength and move toward a life that feels more meaningful, grounded, and embodied. You might feel overwhelmed, stuck in a major life change, overthinking, or just tired of pretending you're okay. If that sounds familiar, you're not alone. Much of my work with clients involve exploring your thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences to deepen self awareness and support lasting change.
Life is full of unexpected ups and downs that we may not always be able to manage alone. In my practice, I specialize in collaborating with clients to navigate difficult life changes with greater peace, clarity, and confidence. I take a highly individualized, holistic, and client-centered approach. During sessions, you can expect to explore underlying beliefs, past experiences, unhelpful patterns, and personal strengths that can all make change possible. Additionally, I enjoy incorporating mindfulness techniques and creative coping skills into our sessions. Through self-exploration and effective strategies, you can develop greater personal power to cope with what life throws at you. I primarily work with individuals facing feelings of anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, or challenges from chronic illnesses and autoimmune disorders. While bringing a peaceful calmness, I also like to include humor and lightheartedness in sessions. I'm a creative person at heart, who loves cartoons and spending time in nature. If you've been contemplating starting therapy, now is the best time to give it a shot. Talking about mental health can be difficult and uncomfortable at times, but the sooner we start, the sooner we can begin the path toward healing. While fear and anxiety around therapy can be overwhelming, you have the strength to work through those feelings and take control of your life. You got this!

I am an LCSW with a private practice offering outpatient psychotherapy in Pa. Furnace, PA. I primarily offer teletherapy sessions but occasionally meet with clients face to face, mostly in outdoor settings. I have been practicing since 2011 and accept students, community members, and others within the state of PA. I specialize in individual therapy, though I also have experience with couples. I usually use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness framework, though many other therapeutic approaches are used as well depending on the needs of the client. As a social worker, I also offer a fair amount of casework for clients who need access to academic, employment, housing, medical, legal, and other kinds of community resources. Over the years I have found that I develop an excellent working relationship with a wide variety of clients, but particularly so with clients presenting with concerns centered on their existential and spiritual concerns as well as on their relationship with the natural world.
Hello! I enjoy working with those who struggle with attention/focus (ADHD), anxieties and panic, identity and experiences related to Sports, grief and loss, disordered mood patterns, depression, and significant life transitions/stress. My ideal client demographic is Adults and Teenagers. With my clients, I enjoy working collaboratively to support them in the changes they are pursuing — by helping them identify the triggers to their struggles, help build change towards handling their struggles, and identify a reframe for their thinking patterns around those triggers. I'm a licensed Master's-level Counselor working on my doctorate. In my work with clients, I use a multifaceted therapy approach, including Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Counseling, and Adlerian. In my work, I strive to support clients in finding their anchor in their struggles and building the ability to dispute their stuck perspectives and orientations regarding their thought patterns and emotional struggles. I work collaboratively to process your struggles, and I believe I am here to guide you towards your definition of success.
I have had the privilege of helping people in the counseling field since 2015! I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Drexel University in 2017 and I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in School Counseling from Holy Family University in 2020. I work full-time as a certified school and college counselor and licensed professional counselor at New Beginnings Virtual Counseling. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing techniques to empower individuals to better understand themselves and to achieve their goals by overcoming anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life changes, transitions, and difficulty with making decisions. I enjoy facilitating sessions for adolescents and young adults so that we can collaborate together for me to warmly provide goal setting, direct feedback, and flexibility in sessions to best support your needs and wellbeing!

My work and experience have allowed me to aid individuals in many age brackets. I am able to be adaptable to meet the needs of the individuals in front of me. While I specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders and traumas, I have the capacity to assist with a range of issues and problems people may present with. I am working on national certification in EMDR and work to use this approach to help others suffering from traumatic experiences to move forward. I want to be able to understand my clients to build trust and connection. Much of the beginning sessions are spent building this through clear expectations.
If you are struggling to get up in the morning, overwhelmed by feelings of depression or anxiety, or have feelings of general dissatisfaction with your life, then I'd like to offer you relief. College can be an exciting time, but it can also bring pressure, uncertainty, and a lot of change. You may be feeling overwhelmed by academics, relationships, family expectations, or decisions about your future. Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem, loneliness, or simply feeling like you’re trying to figure everything out while everyone else seems to have it together. Therapy can give you a place to slow down, feel understood, and sort through what you’re experiencing. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience in social work and counseling. I enjoy working with young adults as they navigate the transition to college and adulthood, develop their identity and independence, manage stress and anxiety, build healthy relationships, and learn to trust themselves. I have a particular passion for helping people who are hard on themselves or struggle with shame, self-doubt, or feeling that they are not enough. Together, we can identify your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and cultivate greater self-compassion and confidence. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I won’t tell you who you should be or what choices you should make. Instead, I’ll help you better understand yourself, explore your options, and identify the path that feels right for you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes having someone who will listen without judgment and help you make sense of things can make all the difference. I would be honored to work with you as you navigate this next chapter.
