I founded Tranquil Trails with a vision to create a therapeutic space where young adults entering the "real" world feel safe to bring their whole selves into the room—without fear of judgment or dismissal, using unconditional positive regard and holistic therapy that encompass an individual and does not place people into boxes or make assumptions. I believe that when we as therapists approach our work with the vulnerability, compassion, and transparency of our humanness, we invite our clients to do the same. At Tranquil Trails, we specialize in working with youth and adults—as they navigate the ebbs and flows of transitional age, complicated by economic hardship, daily reminders of systemic oppression, access to violent videos occurring in real time across the world, AI and misinformation, fear of rights being taken away or have been, frequent complicated family histories with psychosocial stressors daily. And on top of that many of our clients are in college, graduate school, medical school or pursuing an academic career. We invite our clients into the process of collaborative treatment planning, using their own words to create positive and achievable goals. We notice when something is different and we highlight it. We teach them that to see the positives in oneself is to go against the grain of all we have been taught as members of the system. Overachieve, don’t rest, never stop producing, never slow down. We are missing out on life, and the ability to sit with emotions. The ability to notice any positive emotions at all. Our vision at Tranquil Trails is to create a compassionate, inclusive, and supportive community where individuals feel empowered to take charge of their mental health journey. We aim to foster a world where mental health struggles are not only normalized but seen as a trait of humanness, and where healing, personal growth, and resilience are accessible to all. We envision a future where every client, regardless of background or limitations, has the tools, support, and confidence to craft a life that works for them. Through authenticity, collaboration, and evidence-based care, we strive to break the stigma around mental health and create lasting positive change in the lives of those we serve.

Many of my clients feel overwhelmed with life's stressors and are looking for support and healthy coping skills. I also work with clients who have experienced trauma. I have provided counseling for survivors of sexual abuse for many years. Creating a safe space where clients can come without judgment and building an authentic relationship is my priority. Healing looks different for each person. I encourage my clients to decide what they need and then work alongside them to support their goals.
If you are struggling to get up in the morning, overwhelmed by feelings of depression or anxiety, or have feelings of general dissatisfaction with your life, then I'd like to offer you relief. The number one most reliable predictor of a positive outcome to therapy is the quality of the relationship between therapist and client. I am an experienced therapist with a warm and dedicated approach to developing a collaborative and working relationship with you.
Are you, or a loved one, struggling with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, or a difficult and painful past? Understanding painful feelings can be difficult and making meaningful connections as to how, and why these developed can help alleviate symptoms & lead to change. You may be looking for therapy because there is an issue you hope to change, like low self-esteem, or a behavior pattern that is distressing to yourself or others (such as being reactive, critical). Perhaps you are finding it difficult to move toward your desired goals. You may be struggling with a relationship. I am a non-judgmental, compassionate, and formally trained Clinical Social Worker and Therapist. I am qualified to help you understand and resolve a wide array of issues that can be problematic in your life, while just as importantly, helping you to recognize your own strengths and potential for growth. My interest is working with you to help you better understand yourself through a process of exploration, support, respectful listening, and honest dialogue.

As we journey through life, there are times our travel becomes weary. We may feel lost, plagued by doubt, or burdened by uncertainty. Yet we are strong, resilient, and determined. We simply need a guide to help us discover the path forward. That is where Forward Path Counseling can help. We have assembled a team of therapists that offer a complementary set of skills and training, each with unique specialties that fit together so we can offer a well balanced treatment approach to many of the challenges life might present. This offers our clients the opportunity, when it is necessary, to receive coordinated treatment from multiple professionals all within the same practice. As well as peace of mind knowing that, which ever therapist they might be working with, that therapist is collaborating and gaining insight from a larger team of professionals so they might receive the fullest possible care.
Hello! I am Codie Piotrowski, a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have supported clients across various settings, including schools, residential facilities, hospitals, and outpatient offices, which has allowed me to develop a flexible and compassionate approach to care. I specialize in animal-assisted therapy, using the human-animal connection as a unique and supportive way to help clients feel comfortable, engaged, and understood. I also incorporate art, play, and music expression into sessions to help clients explore emotions, build coping skills, and work toward their personal goals in ways that feel meaningful and approachable. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, focusing strongly on building positive therapeutic relationships and meeting each client where they are. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I am currently pursuing EMDR Certification. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and thrive.
On our journey it can be helpful to have someone to help us see the narratives that often define our lives. Some of those narratives keep us from experiencing what we want for ourselves now and in the future. Since graduating with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2010, I have been working as a therapist with people in various stages of life. A relationship between a therapist and client can provide someone with a deep reflection of how they live and are experienced. I believe therapy can give us the opportunity to rediscover our story in a new way. Real change is possible and the therapeutic relationship is one of the ways to cultivate that change. Looking for something different in life, but unsure of how to get there? Together, we can open up new possibilities through mutual exploration. Attending to the therapeutic relationship is key in my approach to therapy, and I provide an empathic and safe environment that allows for exploration of experiences that may feel threatening or uncomfortable. My style of therapy draws from a blend of humanistic, constructivist, existential, relational, and psychodynamic approaches. I will work with you to explore how life experiences have contributed to you struggling to make meaning or feeling stuck, which may present itself in a variety of ways, such as depression, relationship issues, anxiety, and so on. I also incorporate a critical approach to psychotherapy that considers you and your experiences through a lens that includes the societal, political, and historical, which allows me to understand you holistically, within your context. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones and my pets, going for hikes and spending time outdoors, collecting and listening to records, and playing my guitar.
