I have extensive experience working and training in University Counseling Centers (i.e., Penn State University Graduate Assistant, Pre-doctoral internship at Suffolk University, Post-doctoral Fellow at Tufts University followed by three years as a Staff Psychologist at Tufts). My clinical interests include college student mental health, in general; stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal concerns, drug and alcohol use/misuse/abuse; Men’s issues; Childhood trauma; Working with students on the Autism Spectrum; Identity concerns; Relationship concerns; Issues of diversity and inclusion.

Emma Goldblum (she/her/s), founder of Horizon Therapy Services, is a clinical social worker practicing psychotherapy in the Greater Boston Area, with an office based in Dedham for in-person client sessions. A graduate of the Boston College School of Social Work, Emma specializes in trauma-informed treatment, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Emma was trained in trauma-sensitive treatment while working for two of Greater Boston's renowned trauma specialty clinics, The Trauma Center at JRI and Children's Charter Child & Family Trauma Clinic. Emma strives to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients are treated with respect and dignity, and feel listened to and valued. In therapy, Emma aims to help clients process challenging experiences, identify their strengths, and develop new coping skills and language to manage difficulties, all while nurturing hope, relief, and empowerment. I ground my practice in establishing a warm and affirming therapeutic alliance, the relationship between client and clinician. From there, we establish a flow, understanding, and goals. As a former educator, I especially enjoy working with young people who are managing the variety of contending expectations which come along this stage. As a former professional musician, I understand the value of art and creativity in the healing process, the helpfulness of structure and consistency when needed, and the challenges that come with art as a career. We specialize in working with high school and college students across the gender spectrum using a combination of Therapy+Coaching; We have six office locations, default to in-person sessions and can also do Telehealth sessions if a client prefers that.
